School Club Guide

To all the incoming freshmen at Perkiomen Valley High School: there are lots of exciting activities and clubs to choose from in the 2023-2024 school year.

Want to dip your toes into the art of screen printing? If so, PV Ink would be a perfect fit for you. If you want to show off your math skills, Math Club would be a great choice. Or maybe you enjoy more physical activities, like Ultimate Frisbee. Want to demonstrate your wit and intellect through a friendly game of chess or learn to play altogether? In that case, try Chess Club! Making a difference doesn’t have to be intimidating; it’s entirely possible with clubs like Take Action or Envirothon. Each one aims to teach students and others about the importance of conservation of wildlife.

Regardless of the one that you end up choosing, clubs are a great way to make new friends and form connections with other students in the school community. Each club presents an opportunity to find out or expand your passions and interests, whether they are reading competitively or helping out the environment.

“It’s really fun and more student-oriented so the people in the club can create opportunities to help the environment. I would definitely recommend joining if anyone cares about the environment and wants to learn,” senior Julia Takahashi said in reference to Take Action. Joining clubs is also an exceptional way to find out what hobbies and pastimes you enjoy participating in outside of the classroom.

Clubs are a super exciting way to be more involved with the school and meet future friends. There are so many options to choose from, so pick one and enjoy.

“Just, like, do it. It’s a lot of fun. Especially if you have friends in that club. It’s something fun to do after school,” senior Haley Frangioso said.
