Black Panther Sequel Sparks Questions Amidst Boseman’s Death

The release of Black Panther in 2018 broke the internet. Watchers raved about the movie for years and were very excited when the announcement that a sequel was in the works.

The movie Black Panther takes place in Wakanda and South Korea. It is about how Erik Killmonger and Prince T’Challa, the Black Panther, battle for the throne to become king of Wakanda. The battle between the two divides the nation and Prince T’Challa and his allies use their powers to defeat the enemies.

However, Chadwick Boseman, who portrays Black Panther, passed away on August 28th, 2020 from colon cancer. Fans were taken aback by the sudden loss of the Black Panther.

After the news broke, fans questioned who would take Chadwick Boseman’s place as Black Panther in the sequel movie. News has still not been released about who will play Prince T’Challa, and Marvel has confirmed that they will not be using a digital double to replace Boseman.

Because of Marvel’s statement, fans wonder if there will be a replacement for the character of Black Panther, or if Marvel will somehow kill off the character.

These questions have only sparked different theories about the future of Black Panther. With the little information Marvel has released to the public, this only helps generate different theories and conclusions for the sequel.

The release date for Black Panther 2 is set for May 6th of 2022. Fans still have a year to gather information about the movie and get answers to their questions. Marvel will most likely release more information about the movie in 2022.

Everybody is excited to see what Black Panther 2 has to bring but fans/watchers will never forget about how Chadwick Boseman will always be the Black Panther in everyone’s hearts.
