Fall is a great time to test out your baking skills, whether it’s cakes, cookies, caramel apples, muffins, or brownies; there’s a flavor for everyone.

“Some favorite fall flavors are pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, and caramel,” said Brady.
A classic fall dessert is a Pumpkin Cinnamon Cake, which this article will help you make!
- ½ cups of softened butter
- 1 ½ cups of canned pumpkin
- ¼ cup canola oil
- 2 ⅛ cups of sugar
- ½ cup of pumpkin greek yogurt
- ½ cup of almond milk (milk of choice)
- 3 eggs
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ¼ cup of confectioner’s sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp sour cream
Start out by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Get two 8 inch cake pans and grease them. Add pumpkin to the mixer then combine butter, oil, and sugar. Mix everything together thoroughly. Slowly add eggs in one at a time, mix until combined. Add vanilla, salt, pumpkin Greek yogurt, and almond milk or milk of choice. Mix well, then scrape the edges and bottom of the bowl to make sure everything is well combined. Slowly put in baking soda and flour, mix gently. Pour the cake batter evenly into the greased cake pans and bake for 50-60 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
