On April 18th, the Valley was filled with excitement for boys lacrosse senior night.
Senior night in every sport is special, but when the team has the chance to play in the stadium, everything is amplified. With an electric atmosphere surrounding the teams, Owen J. Roberts and Perkiomen Valley due to their rivalry, the game was shaping up to be great.
This game was not only senior night, but there was a PAC final four spot on the line, and the Vikings came ready to play delivering a win 7-5.
Taking a trip down memory lane, Coach Churchy said that his lasting impression of this group is when they figured out how to play at the varsity level, leading by example, helping them win as a team not just as individuals. The biggest impact the seniors had was everyone sticking together, valuing everyone, and embracing the team-first mentality. Overall the seniors can be described as having integrity, discipline, and being a team/family.
Seniors Nicholas Beaudoin, Connor Donovan, Robert Ferrington, Luke Gilronan, Preston Golato, Scott Maho, Nicholas Steele, and Tyler Wilhelm were recognized on an amazing season and wished good luck next year.
As Coach Churchy would say “Don’t forget to go out there and earn it everyday!”
